Updates for my Portfolio for November 2023

My side project has not been progressing for the past few months due to the renovation. On my career, my 12 month rotation into a department I yearn to join is ending, I did check in with my manager and was told there was no openings near term which I could understand for business needs (it is going to be exciting). Also, there has been many personnel movements both present and potentially in the future, paired with the lack of promotion visibility or runway of my role has made me reconsider about the future. However, maybe it is time to consider at other opportunities available.

  • Sell TSMC at 99.55 [~29% profit]
  • Sell Intel at 39.965 [~34% profit]
  • Sell Trade Desk at 67.89 [~25% profit]
  • Sell Moody Corp at 353.42 [ ~29% profit]
  • Sell Interactive Brokers (Partial sale) at 79.68 [~71% profit]
    • Reasons/Notes
      • After much consideration of my current life, I have decided to cut all my smaller positions gradually over time and these are the first wave.
      • I am also questioning my ability to outperform the US market benchmarks.
      • Considering my age, I was thinking a safer bet is to attempt at focusing on getting some kind of passive strategy that aligns to my practice, which is factor based. I have chosen a few strategies for comparison. I have also started the bulk of my monthly savings towards those.
      • Maybe I will trend the performance of those funds?
      • I will focus more towards Singapore and HK equities.
  • Buy Meituan at 105 and 90
    • Reasons/Notes
      • I am slowly adding Meituan to increase the position sizing at support levels but it keeps dropping T_T
      • As of writing this, Meituan is like 77HKD.
That's all for my money for now.

That being said, I am still trying to grab Meituan, need to rebuild cash position after firing so many shots. I am wondering if I should add Keppel DC REIT though. Hope to see more opportunities soon.

I have place a small % of my net worth in crypto-assets.

Conclusion

My portfolio YTD is now 19.46%, with the long term XIRR at -4.62% (w/o Crypto is -0.04%). Hopefully, I can go back into the green.

My cash position is currently at about 9%. Will continue wait for my cash position to accumulate. Let's hope I can get my numbers back on track.
