Updates for my Portfolio for December 2022

I am validating a few options for my side project. I have made more discoveries in regards to how things are done in large scale and improvements to processes in the industry. At my workplace, I have applied to a few temporary rotations at work in hopes of finding an alternate career path. Good news is that I have secured a role which I have been interested for the past 6-8 years of my career but it is only for 1 year. I would also lose a sizeable amount of my allowances. So probably have to monitor the situation closely and might have to apply for a permanent position at another department for job security.
  • Buy TSMC at 78
    • Reasons/Notes

      • I can't believe I completely did not see this.
      • That being said, the general market is plunging so at the point of writing this article, share prices are still kinda down (some falling below my purchase price :') ).
      • I am still aiming to average down further but prices is kinda ranging near my purchase price so I am frankly unsure. Every time I buy too near I run out of cash. That being said the PE is at a historical low too.
That's all for my money for now.

That being said, the US market continues a slow death, and the yield curve has recently inverted. Might see a slowdown in 2023, so hoping to grab better bargains. HK seems to be recovering but I guess I could add to some of my positions. I am still very worried about running out of cash though.

I have place a small % of my net worth in crypto-assets.

Conclusion

My portfolio YTD is now -48.39%, with the long term XIRR at -12.41%. Hopefully, 2023 is much better.

My cash position is currently at about 4%. Will continue wait for my cash position to accumulate while waiting. Let's hope I can get my numbers back on track.
