Updates for my Portfolio for February 2021
I am still testing more ideas for a side project I am working on. Starting to get a little impatient. But at least I managed to get more consistency. Hope by the end of the next month I can scale.
- Buy Moody Corp at 278.8899
- Reasons
- This is another move of revenge buying from unhappiness at work here, so I found this fairly valued then.
- Based on a 5 year historical average PIE of 31.32x and estimated diluted eps from 2019 which is about $8.98. That works out to be about 281.25.
- Buy Manulife US REIT at 0.69
- Reasons
- One more revenge buying again.
- Manulife US REIT is trading at both historical high dividend yield and historical low PB at the price, 8.17% yield and 0.94PB respectively
- Decided to initiate a position first.
- I have some doubts partly because the Covid situation has impacted office sectors so I didn't get a large position yet.
That's all for my money for now. There's a couple of trading I made with VT but those charts were lost during my computer change transitions and the amount is probably not significant of my portfolio so I decided to exclude them.
The US market are slight red but still expensive, there's a counter that's almost reaching my initiation price. Hopefully, I can get other counters too.
Conclusion
My portfolio YTD is now ~22%, with the long term XIRR at 3.52%.
My cash position is currently at about 11%. Probably keep an eye out for opportunities while conserving cash (there's still a balance transfer the size of about 10% of my portfolio ready).
