I thought I write something about the CDP Internet Service, as it is a way to check how many Rights have you gotten,at least faster than the application results statement you will get through the mail.
The URL is https://www1.cdp.sgx.com/sgx-cdp-web/login
(If you haven't got your login, you can grab the application form here, under "How to Apply".)
After you logged in, and if it is your first time, you'll see a page of your personal details:
Else, it will open up on the "My Portfolio" Page.
Anyway, up at the top right corner, you will see your CDP account number.
On the left side of the page, you can see your personal details that you gave CDP (so if you ever need to update your address/phone number, just update it here).
On the right side of the page, you see the bank account you linked to your CDP account for direct crediting as well as the brokerage accounts linked to your CDP account.
There's a couple of tabs on the page, namely:
- My Portfolio
- My Watchlist
- Transaction History
- Customer Service
"My Portfolio" Tab
You'll see the stocks you're holding right now, the securities on loan (if any) as well as a breakdown of your current portfolio by products (REITs and Stocks in my case) and by sectors.
If you want to save the information, you can always click on "Download Spreadsheet" to save a digital copy, or "Print" to get a hardcopy via a printer connected to your PC.
"My Watchlist" tab
This page allows you to add counters to your watchlist, if you like. I personally don't bother as my own watchlist is already with my brokerage account
Here's how it looks like:
"Transaction History" Tab
There's 3 sub-tabs here, namely:
- Share Transactions
- Payouts
- E-Statements
This place shows you all the counters you recently bought or sold. This also shows you the results from Rights Issues, as you can see in my case, look at the Transaction Type "Rights Issue" and Reference "Subscription of NRO", this will give you the total number of Rights (entitled + excess) you got from the application :) The Reference "Provisional NRO" is just the number of rights you are entitled and if you applied for them, it will be "Acceptance of Offer".
On the "Payouts" sub-tab,
This page shows all the dividends you received for the month (yea, the amount of dividends I am getting is kinda little, working to get more).
On the "E-Statements" sub-tab,
You have an option to receive your statements and confirmation notes online, and being more environmentally friendly :)
It seems that it only generates the e-Statements from the time you get your Internet CDP account, but after that you can download them in PDF for archiving :)
"Customer Service" Tab
This tab provides CDP contact information as well as some FAQs.
"View/Update Profile" and "Direct Crediting Service" leads to the same page, as shown in my screenshot at the earlier part of the post.
Clicking on "My Alerts", you'll see options to be alerted via email when your statements, confirmation notes and pre-settlement notifications are online (I applied for the online statements, but the changes will be made the next day).
Clicking on "Sign Up" in the "E-Statements" sub-tab, will direct you here. Do note that if you want paper copies, do not check the boxes.
You can choose to get SMS alerts for your Pre-Settlement Notifications (which is basically telling you about shares being credited and debited from your account when you buy/sell shares).
Well, that's about it for the CDP Internet Service :)
Hope it helps :)
Thanks a lot, it was really useful and helpful!
