On 19 Aug 2016, they released the results of the Preferential Offering here, I was thinking, wow 50% oversubscribed, guess I won't be getting much.
Today I got a mailer from SGX about my application results!
That being said, I checked my bank account the day when the units started trading (based on the phrase in the instructions "unsuccessful rights get refunded up to 14 day") and saw a refund of $1378.82.
That equates to about 971 rights, priced at $1.42, unallocated to me.
I applied for 4344 rights, so means I got 3373 rights! Yay! :D
Considering I have 2027 shares, I now have a total of 5400 shares. :D
More than double my position :D
A good thing because I wish to increase my stake (cheaper too!).
That being said, I am told that it is easier to double up and/or increase your position in rights issues with smaller holdings as well as odd lot rounding. Once my positions are larger, guess I'll have it no more.
Another interesting thing to note, could be that, not many people applied for this preferential offering in larger quantities, so it is fortunate for me that I can get some of the unwanted excess they don't want :)
Might be because of Croesus's rights issue concurrently (and maybe even the Soilbuild REIT's upcoming preferential offering), so people have less cash for both.
For those of you who wanna check even faster without all these math or without waiting for the statement, one can check directly at your CDP internet access here. (You'll need an existing CDP internet service account with them by the way, might talk about it on the next post).
That's it for now :)
How many rights did you guys apply for and get? :)
